ed-Timber Supplier Pricing (Q4 2025): Built to Reward Active Sawmills

ed-Timber Supplier Pricing (Q4 2025): Built to Reward Active Sawmills

Who this is for: All EU softwood producers ready to modernize workflows, scale with ed-Timber, and activate a second sales engine (RFQs, quoting, contracts, logistics—end to end)

Since launch, our goal has been to make international timber trading efficient, transparent, and profitable for suppliers. We’ve kept access free to build a strong, verified buyer network. As we enter Q4 2025, we’re introducing a simple, fair fee model that funds serious trade tools—and rewards volume.

Why a Supplier Fee at All?

ed-Timber isn’t a listing site. It’s a managed trading environment that provides you with:

  • End-to-end deal flow (RFQ → quotes → negotiation → contract → delivery)
  • Contract & document automation
  • Real-time logistics tracking
  • Ongoing platform development & support

This model keeps the infrastructure reliable and continually improving—while staying aligned with suppliers who actually trade.

Supplier Pricing (from Q4 2025)

1) Fixed Quarterly Fee

€1,500 per quarter (from registration)
Full access to the platform, tools, and verified buyer network.

2) Volume-Based Transaction Fees (per quarter, by order cbm)

  • 0–250 cbm: €5 per cbm
  • 251–500 cbm: €4 per cbm
  • 501–1000 cbm: €3 per cbm
  • >1000 cbm: €2 per cbm

3) Active-Trading Reward

If your quarterly transaction fees exceed €3,000, your €1,500 fixed fee is fully credited.

The more you trade, the lower your net cost per cbm.

4) Profit-Sharing on Certain Transactions

On eligible deals that generate platform profit:

  • Profit is calculated per order
  • Your share is credited automatically
  • You’ll see it in your quarterly statement

What You Get Beyond Pricing

  • Priority access to verified buyer RFQs
  • Multi-offer quoting and structured negotiations inside the platform
  • Secure workflows: contracts, documents, milestones, shipping updates
  • Dashboard & reporting: volumes, fees, profits, payouts
  • Platform Assistant: on-page help for profile, stock, pricing, RFQs—by Oct 1, 2025

FAQs (Suppliers)

When am I billed?
At the beginning of each quarter, you’ll receive a detailed statement and invoice reflecting fixed fees, transaction tiers, and any profit-share credits/refunds.

Who is this for?
European softwood sawmills of all sizes—from producers handling a few hundred cbm per quarter to the largest mills—looking to digitize sales, partner with ed-Timber, and add a reliable second sales channel.

What do I get with a Supplier subscription?
Full access to our managed trading platform: RFQs, quoting, negotiation, digital contracts, document automation, real-time logistics tracking, and quarterly statements. An in-app assistant is available at every step if you need help.

What is the fixed subscription fee?
€1,500 per quarter (starts from initial registration).

What is the “Reward for Active Trading”?
If your transaction (per-cbm) fees for a quarter exceed twice the fixed fee (€3,000), we automatically refund the €1,500 fixed fee for that same quarter.

Do I pay anything if I don’t trade that quarter?
Yes—the fixed €1,500 quarterly fee applies. No per-cbm fees are charged without traded volume.

Are there listing or quoting fees?
No. Your costs are the fixed quarterly fee plus the per-cbm fee determined by your traded volume.

What is the Profit-Sharing model?
For each order processed through the platform, when a transaction yields profit, ed-Timber shares a portion of that profit with you. This is in addition to the fee structure. Your share is calculated per transaction and credited to your account; details appear in your quarterly statement.

What reporting do I receive?
Each quarter you get:

  • A comprehensive calculation of all fees due
  • Detailed gross-profit calculations per order
  • A clear breakdown of volumes, applied rates, and credits/refunds
  • A transaction-by-transaction profit-sharing statement

When does billing start and how is it issued?
Billing starts from initial registration. You’ll receive a quarterly invoice and a matching statement summarizing fees, credits, and profit share.

Can existing suppliers get a discount?
Yes—existing onboarded suppliers receive 50% off the first quarter.

What counts toward my quarterly volume?
All cbm from orders processed on ed-Timber within the quarter. The quarterly tier is determined by the total cbm traded in that period.

How do refunds/credits appear?
Any Active-Trading refund and profit-sharing credits are automatically applied in your quarterly statement.

How do I become a Supplier Partner?
Register your mill at ed-timber.com/register/supplier, complete your profile, add stock or set your production parameters, and start quoting RFQs.
